Be Careful with iOS 6 JailBreak Scammers!

After last week’s iOS 6 jailbreak hoax, we’re starting to see other fake jailbreak fixes pop up on the internet so that they can utilize the prosperity of last week’s prank. Websites called OpenAnyPhone.com and iPhoneJailbreakUnlock.org are claiming to possess a working iOS 6 untethered jailbreak for all eligible iPhones. However, unlike last week’s attempt, this can be the first is as fake since it gets.

Both websites are interlinked together, and OpenAnyPhone.com features a banner at the very top for iPhoneJailbreakUnlock.org. In any event, both sites are charging a one-time fee of $28 to jailbreak your iOS 6 device. All you need to do is pay by credit card as well as PayPal and you’ll be on the way…on your path to scamville.

Unlike OpenAnyPhone.com, iPhoneJailbreakUnlock.org states that they don’t offer the iPhone 5, but all previous generations meet the criteria. Your website notes that the hack will “jailbreak” your iPhone, along with unlock it. Plus, they promise the process is “fully reversible” and the package includes “lifetime updates.”

Obviously, stay away from this one, in support of follow the official dev teams for updates on jailbreaks. Many people learned that the hard way the other day, when Dream JB, the person behind the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak with similar name, convinced lots of people had been real, and taught them a very important lesson just to trust reputable and known developers.
